Garfield Heights High School Class of 1967

Basketball

FIRST ROW: Coach Knazek, Clark, Nemecek, Blank, Angersola, Socha, Pigat, Kalanish.


SECOND ROW: Kozey, Stahurski, McCombe, Carroll, Giaimo, Trisnar, Paukert.

  The Varsity Basketball Team had a very successful season, compiling a fine record of 9 wins and 10 losses. Coach Andrew Knazek proved to the G.C.C. opponents that Garfield is stiff competition.


This high spirited team consisted of all underclassmen except for two senior members. Tom McCombe was the only junior in the league to make G.C.C. All Conference Basketball Team.


Lead by senior captain, Ron Clark, the varsity cagers' games showed determination and spirit in the Garfield tradition. Congratulations to both the coach and the team for a fine performance and an exciting season.

The “Lady Bulldogs” met for lunch at Mavis Winkle's in Twinsburg on July 16th.  

Great dinner with classmates at Harry's Steakhouse in Independence on June 29.
